A U.S. Congressional bill claims to protect Africa from Russian “malign” activities, but Africans, including those in the United States, say HR7311 is offensive. Johns Hopkins University African History Professor Didier Gondola says there are other countries that Africa could use protection from before Russia.
Gondola says, “A place like France for example, which has in the past for several centuries [taken part in] some really malign activities in Africa – exploiting, pillaging African resources. Making sure Africans cannot actually choose their leaders.” Watch the full segment in the above link.
